Truly a classic staple of any meat-loving family. This quick and easy recipe is the classic version I grew up on, and continues to be a favorite among the less picky of the litter! I prefer using ground round, you lose less drain-off and it’s healthier!

Ingredients
- 2 lbs meat
- 1 tsp salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
- ¾ cup ketchup
- 1 egg
- 1 medium finely chopped onion
- ½ cup crushed crackers or breadcrumbs
- Additional ketchup for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350° F.
- Mix all ingredients in a large bowl.
- Place mixture into a loaf pan.
- Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
- Remove from oven, and drain off excess fat.
- Cover top of meatloaf with a layer of ketchup.
- Continue baking an additional 15 minutes.
- Remove, slice, and enjoy with your favorite sides!
